Our Story

The idea for this site is many years in the making. I first used Terumah Artistry as the name for my own artistic endeavors, but always felt that the idea of offering your first and finest for the benefit of others was meant to be bigger than myself. After years away from the artistic world I found myself drawn back to the idea again.

For Christmas one year I wanted to give my sister-in-law a gift basket of items that benefit women coming out of commercial sexual exploitation (CSE). I knew of a few organizations that sold such products, but found as I searched for more ideas that the internet was sadly unhelpful in finding other such organizations. I knew they were out there, but I couldn’t find them.

As I faced this dilemma the idea came to me again of Terumah Artistry, a site to collect all the different sources of products benefitting the least of these. A site where social justice becomes social business and our purchases go further than the company’s profit margins.

The site is being built as I find worthy organizations to add and as I have time to built the database by hand. If you know of organizations that fit the Terumah Artistry values, want to help with the data entry, or want to help with graphic/web design please contact me at leah@terumahartistry.com
